Qualcomm CEO Shares CES Stage With Nokia CEO Elop, Sesame Street's Grover

LAS VEGAS& Qualcomm CEO Paul Jacobs kicked off the keynote sessions at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show here by regaling the audience with the usual confident pronouncements about Qualcomm's leadership position in mobile chipsets. But this year he also brought out several presenters to show off the latest mobile devices scheduled to debut in 2012 that will contain his company's popular Snapdragon chipsets, which combine CPUs and GPUs on one piece of silicon. Jacobs' guest speakers included the likes of Nokia CEO Stephen Elop, as well as Sesame Street's Grover, who showed off an interesting augmented reality application that children can access via tablets. Qualcomm's ARM-based chips have a huge lead in the mobile market versus Intel, which is trying to rally by bringing more mobile chipsets to market. Check out Jacobs' keynote in pictures here. - ...
